Deco Rock has been casting stone veneer and architectural concrete at its plant in Jacó, Puntarenas for over twenty years, and supplies Costa Rican natural stone alongside it.
Making the product here rather than importing it is what allows custom tone, matching corner pieces and consistent supply across a phased project.
We manufacture seven stone veneer textures, four brick veneer styles, decorative concrete tiles, roof tiles, pavers, retaining wall blocks, stamped concrete and made-to-order GFRC sinks and vanities. We also distribute Costa Rican natural stone, cut and finished to order.
Products developed elsewhere are not necessarily designed for sustained humidity, heavy rain, strong UV and salt air together. Ours are cast for exactly that combination.
Reserva Las Palmas, Jacó — our veneer went onto a sixty-metre oceanfront tower in 2008 and is still in excellent condition with no maintenance. Hotel Crocs, Jacó — a beachfront tower clad to order, ten-plus years in with no resealing.
A lot of what we do is telling people which stone not to use. Coralina is excellent by a pool and difficult in deep shade. Mollejón rewards a good sealer and punishes a cheap one. Grout, not stone, is usually what fails first.
