Everything on this page is made by Deco Rock in Jacó, Costa Rica — seven stone veneer textures, four brick styles, and a full architectural concrete range.
All veneer lines include matching corner pieces from the same mould and batch, and colour is matched to an approved sample before a project is cast.
The range
Three reasons come up on almost every project. Corner pieces: natural stone always shows a seam where two pieces meet at a corner — a Deco Rock wall does not. Consistency: natural stone varies batch to batch, so what arrives may not match the sample; ours is cast to a specified tone. Speed: the no-grout lines go up considerably faster than stone laid piece by piece.
Deco Rock veneer is also genuinely new to the Costa Rican landscape. Laja and mollejón have been on buildings and walkways here for forty or fifty years — familiar, but dated. ThinStone, IrishStone and the brick styles read as current and design-forward.
Manufactured stone veneer is architectural concrete cast from real natural stones, so tone, texture and corner pieces can all be specified. Natural stone is quarried, so it is cheaper upfront but varies batch to batch and cannot provide a seamless corner.
QuickFit, FastFit, ThinStone and FossilRock install without grout lines. Hackett and IrishStone are grouted. Brick styles can be dry-stacked but grouting is recommended.
Yes. Tone is matched to an approved sample before a project is cast, and we can vary the depth of tone across a wall for a more natural result.
